2026 Ram 2500 Warlock Makes Heavy-Duty Debut After 50 Years
July 21 2025,

The iconic Warlock nameplate is expanding into heavy-duty territory for the first time in its 50-year history. Ram has announced the 2026 Ram 2500 Warlock, marking the brand's boldest move yet in the competitive sport truck segment.
This represents a significant milestone for the Warlock badge, which first appeared in the 1970s as part of Dodge's D-Series lineup. After a long hiatus, Ram brought Warlock back in 2019 on the Ram 1500 Classic platform. Now, the nameplate graduates to the heavy-duty 2500 series.
Warlock's Off-Road DNA
The 2026 Ram 2500 Warlock builds on decades of off-road heritage while adding modern capability. The truck comes exclusively in Crew Cab 4x4 short bed configuration, focusing on serious off-road performance rather than maximum cargo space.
Warlock's visual identity centers on aggressive black styling. The truck features black grille surround, fender flares, and bumpers that create a commanding presence. A distinctive Warlock bedside decal announces the truck's heritage to other enthusiasts.
Purpose-Built Off-Road Equipment
Ram equipped the Warlock with components designed for challenging terrain. The truck rides on 20-inch diamond cut wheels wrapped in 33-inch Goodyear Duratrac A/T tires. These aggressive tires provide traction on rocks, mud, and loose surfaces.
The suspension system includes Bilstein shocks tuned specifically for on- and off-road use. This setup balances highway comfort with trail capability, ensuring the truck performs well in both environments.
Additional off-road features include:
- Anti-spin rear differential for improved traction
- Hill Descent Control for steep descents
- Transfer case skid plate for underbody protection
- Class-exclusive power convex trailer-tow mirrors
Interior Focuses on Function
Inside, the Warlock prioritizes durability over luxury. Cloth bench seats and carpet floor covering provide comfort while standing up to active use. Front and rear all-weather floor mats protect the interior from mud, snow, and debris.
The functional interior design supports the truck's intended use as a capable work and recreation vehicle rather than a luxury cruiser.
Heavy-Duty Performance Options
Buyers can choose between two proven powertrains. The standard 6.4-litre HEMI V-8 produces 405 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. This naturally aspirated engine provides reliable power for daily driving and moderate towing.
The optional 6.7-litre Cummins High-Output Turbo Diesel steps up to 430 hp and delivers 1,075 lb-ft of torque. This diesel option suits buyers who need maximum towing capability or prefer diesel fuel economy.
Both engines pair with the TorqueFlite HD eight-speed automatic transmission, which handles the increased torque demands of heavy-duty applications.
Competitive Pricing Strategy
At $78,885, the Warlock package costs $4,495 above the base Tradesman Crew Cab 4x4 short bed configuration. This pricing positions the truck competitively against other factory off-road packages in the heavy-duty segment.
The truck includes Ram's exclusive link-coil rear suspension system, which provides superior ride quality compared to traditional leaf spring setups. This technology improves comfort whether the truck carries a load or runs empty.
Warlock is available in eight exterior colours: Diamond Black, Bright White, Granite Crystal, Silver Zynith, Forged Blue, Flame Red, Ceramic Grey, and Molten Red.
The 2026 Ram 2500 Warlock will arrive at Canadian dealers in the third quarter of 2025 in limited volume.
